‘Amor Platonico’ (‘Platonic Love’)- Jóvenes y Sexys, from the Rudo y Cursi soundtrack: Una canción muy bonita y relajante/A very pretty and relaxing song. 

‘Quiero Que Me Quieras’ (‘I Want you to Want me’)-Gael García Bernal, from the Rudo y Cursi soundtrack: Este canción es cómica pero también bonita/This song is funny but also pretty. It is a cover of Cheap Trick. 

‘Pata Pata’-Miriam Makeba: a pretty and happy song sung in Xhosa with some English. Makeba was a legendary South African singer, grammy winner, and civil rights activist. This song really makes you want to dance. 

‘Umqombothi’-Yvonne Chaka Chaka, from the Hotel Rwanda soundtrack: This is another song that really makes you want to dance! Yvonne Chaka Chaka is a very popular singer from South Africa but unfortunately does not have very much music on American ITunes. Umqombothi is a South African beer. 

‘Shakin’ All Over’-Wanda Jackson: Wanda Jackson is the Queen of Rockabilly and was popular in the 50’s and 60s. She just released this EPIC song on Jack White’s Third Man Records label. This song has such a great guitar riff. 

‘Seh Na Sakay’-Zeb and Haniya: Zeb and Haniya are a sick band from Kohat, Pakistan. Their songs are sung in Urdu and their style is a mix of alternative, blues, and folk. Both studied at universities in the USA and are inspired by American blues musicians and Islamic music.
